Vision statement

Consciousness village "Sol" has the mission of becoming Curacao and the Caribbean first 100% self-sustainable community and tourism eco village dedicated to environmental and sustainable research, collaboration and education.

Consciousness village "Sol" will be seen both as a model of a new way of living, and as a place to heal, grow and re-awaken deeper aspects of ourselves that we have forgotten and lost in the frantic and hectic pace of our industrialized world.
This will be a playful, creative and spontaneous journey, and an intense unfolding of what it feels like to be alive, connected and nurturing towards ourselves, other animals and the fragile ecosystem in which we live.

Sustainability Center
Consciousness village “Sol” will be also a collaboration and communication center designed to foster cooperation amongst various environmental and sustainability organizations.

As Curacao first fully sustainable resort and environmental organization, Sol will be leading the way and becoming a model for sustainability and environmental education. Becoming a fully sustainable organization also involves becoming the next generation of a corporate model.

Sol Community
Consciousness village “Sol” will be a unique place for people to live and work in a fully sustainable intentional community environment, while also allowing people to connect with each other and move towards common goals.One of the key goals is to develop and nurture a sense of community.

To develop and nurture a sense of community, our primary community will be composed of owners that live and work on various aspects of “Sol” projects. An extension of our community will be composed for tourism that wants to experience this way of living.

Alleviating Human Pressures
Human beings free of debt, insecurity, and fear become much more amiable. With no one out to sell anyone anything or to deprive another of possessions or money, the basis for unhealthy human aggression is
outgrown. People no longer are burdened by the nagging concerns that consume so much attention such as mortgages, health care costs, education fees, fire insurance, economic recession or depression, the loss
of jobs, and taxes. With the elimination of these burdens and the removal of the conditions that create feelings of envy, greed, and competition, people’s lives would be far more meaningful.
